Anzac Day 2020

Anzac Day, 25 April is one of our most important occasions, marking the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.

However, this year’s Anzac commemorations were unlike any we’ve experienced in our lifetime.  While not physically gathering as a school and local community to honour this special day, many of our students and community commemorated the day within the bounds of crowd restrictions and joined in spirit, by holding candlelit driveway dawn services and echoes of The Ode and Last Post could be heard down-streaming through the streets.

Students remembered our heroes and loved ones in many ways from craft making, from pictures,  poppies and wreaths, decorating mailboxes, cooking and of course, eating Anzac biscuits.  ​
