Transition is a place to learn, grow and be inspired! At Merriwa Central School we cater for our Playgroup, Kindergarten and Year 7 transition.

Play group

Merriwa Create and Grow Playgroup is a Merriwa Family Support Network community initiative supported by Merriwa Central School in conjunction witht he fUpper Hunter Shire Council.

Starting primary school is a big step for children and families. Our school runs orientation and transition activities to help your child feel ready for Kindergarten and to support you as parents and carers.

Starting year 7

Starting High School can be very daunting. Our Year 7 transition is a chance for you to tour the school, meet teaching staff, review our curriculum and ask questions.
