One of the many wonderful opportunities our Central School offers is a program called “Whole School Staffing”. Secondary teachers are timetabled to work with primary classes throughout the year, to share their subject expertise and to team teach and gain skills from their primary counterparts.
This term, we have Mr Kurt Schwab, who is teaching Physical Education with Miss Garbellini in Kindergarten and Mr Daniel Berzsenyi who is sharing his Science knowledge with Miss Eather and Year 1.
Mr James worked with Year 2/3 on African drumming earlier this term, in preparation for Variety Night and today has begun working with Year 4/5. Over the coming weeks, the children from this class will be walking up to the secondary campus each Thursday during lunch, and will participate in agriculture related activities, including vegetable gardening and chook care, during the afternoon session.
The children will leave primary campus at 1.30pm each Thursday for the rest of this term, and will be back in time for afternoon assembly. They will be supervised by Mrs Courtney Martin and assisted by Mrs Kelly Elliot, SLSO.
