Girls excited over new Rugby League Uniform donated by Merriwa Central P&C

Exciting times at Merriwa Central School with the arrival of our first ever, female specific rugby league kit.  Over the past three years the popularity of ladies league tag and female rugby league within the school system has grown significantly thanks hugely to the work by the NRL..   "I have been very proud and lucky to be involved with so many talented and passionate female athletes taking on this popular game, breaking down gender stereotypes and kicking goals along the way," said Mr Grant.

"I want to extend a huge thank you to the Merriwa Central School P and  C Committee for purchasing this kit for our students and we hope to have them on the field early next term".
