The Merriwa Showground was the place to be last Wednesday
with students and community members from all over the Upper Hunter converging
there to learn about some fantastic new farm safety and management techniques.
Students in Years 3-6 learned a number of new strategies and ideas, including
silo safety, correct and safe chainsaw usage, the importance of quadbike common
sense and helmet wearing, cyber safety for farmers, and how to get mental
health support for family and friends.
Everyone who attended was treated to
fresh fruit and a sausage sizzle. Thanks so much to the organisers of such a
wonderful day of learning and friendship!
