Athletics Carnival Record Breakers

Primary Students holding certificates for breaking records at recent athletics carnival

At our recent Athletics Carnival we had a number of track and field event records broken!  Congratulations to our record breakers for their tremendous efforts on the day!   Secondary students that went on to represent Merriwa Central School at Zone also  had success on the day.  Hunter Marsh won the 100m, 200m and 400m races in his age group (15 boys) and smashing the Zone long jump record.  Olivia McLean performed outstandingly taking first place in the girls 16 years shotput and discuss. 

Next Friday (May 31 James Taylor Stacey and Hunter Marsh are off to regional cross country at Cessnock.  Good luck boys.
