Mock Interviews

On Thursday March 28 Year 10 students at Merriwa Central School were provided with the opportunity to participate in a mock interview.  Students had to apply for a position of their choice and produce a cover letter and resume and attend an interview based on that position.

Four community members volunteered in their time to interview the students and provide them with some pointers of what to do and not to do in an interview.  Students found the experience daunting at first and some were very nervous but the benefit gained by putting themselves forward and attending the interview session will assist them in the future with their career interviews.

Merriwa Central School would like to thank the interviews, Maria Cameron, Tash Taaffe, Mike Gilder and Rowan Rodgers for donating their time to assist our students  with these skills.  They enjoyed the opportunity to meet and get to know some of our Year 10 students and were impressed by the broad range of talents and interests Year 10 students displayed.
