Kindergarten Transition

On Tuesday we were delighted to welcome back our new Kindergarten transition students for their second morning of fun and learning.  During this time, our new students demonstrated their reading skills by reading books with myself and our school’s Instruction Leader, Mrs Sevil.  Students also spent time getting to know their Year 4 and 5 buddies and completing some fun activities with them.

Our Kindergarten Transition program for children enrolling or thinking of enrolling at Merriwa Central School in 2020, will continue next Tuesday for an extended time from 9am to 1pm.  They will need to bring some fruit, a water bottle, food fore recess and a hat.  All the staff and students at Merriwa Central School are looking forward to seeing our new students next week as they join us for recess, eating and play time.
