Merriwa Central School receives funding for Canteen

Our hardworking canteen ladies were thrilled to receive the news about a grant application they had made earlier in the year.  Last week it was announced that the application to upgrade canteen equipment was successful with $12,472 allocated to the P&C run canteens in primary and secondary.

Local member Michael Johnson visited the secondary canteen to see first hand the difference the grant will make to the facilities for our students.  The application will allow for new ovens, pie warmers and fridges to be purchased which will make a huge difference for our canteen ladies.
