One week to go to Little Sprouts!

Little Sprouts is approaching quickly with only one week to go until the big day!  The event will take place next Friday August 30.  The exciting day will involve local businesses reading to students from Merriwa Central School, St Joseph’s Merriwa, Cassilis, Sandy Hollow, Merriwa Preschool and Seeds groups. 

The first activity for the day will be the Book Parade, which will commence at 10.00am at the Merriwa School of Arts.  All children will have the opportunity to show off their amazing costumes.  This year’s costume theme is ‘Reading is my Secret Power!’  There are some great ‘best dressed’ prizes to be won!  Prizes will also be awarded to the best dressed teacher and local business worker.  Parents and carers are very welcome to attend the Book Parade and watch the fun.

Students will be provided with a free morning tea, thanks to the wonderful CWA ladies.  A free sausage sizzle will also be provided to all children for lunch.

A Pre-school and Seeds timetable has also been added to this week’s Ringer.  Parents, please feel free to join the seeds group at any times throughout the day that suit your schedule.  Children are welcome to stay for lunch and return to the pre-school for a performance at 2.00pm.
