Little Sprouts Reading Day

Merriwa Central School is proud and very excited to host our upcoming community reading event.  This special day allows the Merriwa community to come together to share stories and build a passion for reading.  Little Sprouts will be held on Friday 30 August and will involve local businesses reading to students from Merriwa Central School, St Joseph's Merriwa, Cassilis and Sandy Hollow.  The theme this year is "Reading is my Secret Power!"  Students are encouraged to come dressed as any book character with a secret power.  Everyone involved in the day is welcome to dress up and prizes will be awarded to best dressed students, staff and local business owners and employees.

The 'Seeds' group, which includes younger children who may or may not attend Pre-school, are also invited to participate  in activities through out the day.  A timetable will be published prior to Little Sprouts Day so that parents of 'Seeds' can attend sessions that suit them and their children.
